Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Françoise has always wanted to get involved in initiatives to help the development of our island. Françoise did her undergraduate degree in Political Sciences in the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras Campus. Afterwards, she continued her master studies in International Commerce and Public Policy in George Mason University.
During her Masters, Françoise became aware of how passionate she felt towards the issues that were affecting her island, and decided to develop a non-partisan online news platform to promote all the great initiatives and ideas taking place in our island. It also serves as a platform where students, businesses and organizations can promote their ideas and projects… serving as an outlet for Puerto Ricans to organize themselves as social capital. Foreign Languages and Spanish Studies graduate. There was a time when I thought I can positively impact everything around me, now I am not so sure anymore… besides the act that I am a really bad influence. Most of the things I know I learned them from literature, Japanese anime and volleyball.
I love being a Puerto Rican, but I am not sure if I love Puerto Rico that much. I must be the only Puerto Rican that does not enjoy the beach if it does not include beach volleyball. Even though I can be sarcastic and pessimist, writing about anything I am passionate for is always a relief: sports, politics, travel and fashion (even when I don’t know how to combine clothes). I love to travel and explore; also, I have a weird devotion for public transportation systems in the world. Secretly, I would love to see Ricky Martin someday living in «la Fortaleza» (the Governor’s mansion).
