Mission

What is our mission?

Capital Social is an online independent news platform that focuses on promoting all the great initiatives, ideas and connections developed by our own social capital.

1. We publish articles submitted by freelance writers about issues related to Puerto Rico
2. Share ideas, organizations and initiatives that promote social capital and seek to help Puerto Rico
3. Interview small businesses, non-profits and individuals who are making a difference in our island

We complain a lot about the ineffectiveness of our government, but besides voting we do not take any other type of social action. We can’t wait for foreigners to come save our economy, we are Puerto Rico’s capital and we owe it our commitment.

We recognize that there is a lot of talent engaged in Puerto Rico’s current issues, and that there are many people with good ideas/initiatives that just don’t have the means to expose these to the public eye…therefore, Capital Social created an online news platform that looks to serve as an independent newspaper, where we seek to publish individuals with ideas, aspirations and desires to move forward. All parties are welcomed, since the mission of our initiative is to unite social capital, not to divide it. Just as well, all ideas are welcomed, and all individuals are welcomed to join this collaboration.
